If I Should Ever Miss The Snow

1545

Snow is gently falling on my blog, but there is no snow falling here in Phoenix Arizona!  I remember growing up in Northern New Jersey and all the snowfalls and ice storms that would close the schools.  We loved those days and would be outside sledding and making snowmen and just enjoying the day off from school.  But that changed once I was older and had to drive to work on snowy, icy roads.  If the snow would begin falling in the morning, I would watch it through the windows and worry all day about getting home later and how long it would take with all the traffic.

The final straw was the time I drove home from an event during the early afternoon in a snow storm.  The highway was very slippery and I went into a skid, then a spin, and then crossed the road several times hitting the guard rails on each side of the road.  When I finally came to a stop, I was amazed that I didn’t hit another car!  I continued driving with my knees shaking, heading uphill to my home.  As I turned onto the street right before mine, my wheels were spinning and would not make it up the incline. I had to back down and try several times hitting the accelerator and then making a swing left onto my street finally and into my driveway.  I was shaking all over, in disbelief that I was safely home.  My car was pretty dented from hitting those guardrails but I was not dented at all.  I truly believe my angels protected me that day!

I resolved that day to move to a warmer climate and be done with driving in snow forever.  The following summer I was able to take a trip to Arizona to visit my brother.  I spent a week here and fell in love with it, even in the heat!  The mountains totally surround the Phoenix valley and I had a feeling of protection. I made the decision that I must move here and went back home knowing that I would live here somehow.

The following year after being divorced for several years, I happened to meet a gentleman at a dance who had gone to Arizona State University and now lived in New Jersey, but always had the desire to go back to the Phoenix area to live. As fate would have it, two years later we were married.  We bought a motor home and moved cross country together.  Our combined five kids visit us and we visit them and our grandchildren in New Jersey and Pennsylvania every year.  One of them drove our car west and moved to San Diego for a few years. He then moved to beautiful Sedona where he has lived happily now for over 20 years. He was happy to leave the cold weather behind too!

We have now lived in Arizona 31 years and the only time we see snow anymore is on television or on Christmas cards and here on my Blog page!  I had my fill of it and can go north to Flagstaff anytime if I should want to see it.

Merry Christmas!                  christmas-love-in-action-pic

AWAKENING TO LIFE ALL OVER AGAIN

Special place lagoon and waterfall nearby

I posted this with different photos 3 years ago and it got a lot of views.  I decided to repost it today!

We are living in wonderland, but we rarely notice it. The easiest way.to spiritually awaken is to look at the world around us with new eyes… to see things as if for the first time and the last time!

Usually we become so entangled in the story we tell ourselves about life that we don’t notice the deep mystery of existence. We live as if we know what is going on, when actually life is an enormous enigma. For spiritual awakening we need to step into the mystery. A simple way to do this is to focus on the present moment.  When we do, our state of consciousness spontaneously changes because we come out of the story and into the mystery. The story exists in time, so when we bring our attention into the present moment there is no story about the past and the future. This can be a great relief. In the here and now, we don’t understand life with words; we experience the mystery of the moment.

Spiritual awakening is intensely pleasurable, because we truly appreciate all we see and hear and touch in this world of wonders. When we are superficially awake, we feel the enjoyment available to us only partially. When we are deeply awake; however, we find ourselves really savoring the pleasures of life. The body wakes up to how sweet it is to be alive.

Appreciate colors and sounds and feelings. They become rich and vibrant. The world starts to sparkle. There is an experience of profound gratitude that arises when we  see how glorious life really is!

The Cat’s Eye Tarot

I am excited to add a new deck to my Tarot Card collection, “The Cat’s Eye Tarot”.  These were created by a female Veterinarian and are very beautiful!  I am getting familiar with them and will soon be doing Tarot Card readings incorporating these with my other favorite decks.

It seems that readings can be done at a distance just as well as in person.  So, if you have a question or need advice, I would be happy to work with you!  Look above at my services on the menu bar.

Here is a sample of these beautiful colorful cards.

After designing my own deck of Astrology cards, I can appreciate all the work that went into these cards and I love cats too!

FIND A LOVE MATCH

It seems that everybody wants to find love.  This is the most asked question in readings, followed by career questions!

You can use The Astrology Game of Cards to find a love match.

Play with 2 to 4 players.

Deal out all the cards to the players.

Each player looks through their cards and must begin by pulling out their Sun sign, as many of this sign as you have.  Lay them on the table.

Next each player should consult the enclosed Elements Card to see if their Sun sign is in the Fire, Air, Earth or Water group.  Notice the other two signs sharing your group.

Look through your cards and pull out all of those signs in your Element  and lay them on the table.

Notice that you are in harmony with those other 2 signs whether or not you have any in your hand.

For example:

Cancerians share qualities with the Scorpios and Pisces, all being sensitive water ‘feeling’ signs.

Gemini shares the Air sign group with Libra and Aquarius.  All are intellectually inclined and enjoy a stimulating conversation.

Taurus shares the Earth sign group with Virgo and Capricorn, all being practical and down to earth signs who take care of the business of life.

Aries share qualities with the Leos and Sagittarians, all being action-oriented fire signs who don’t hesitate to get out there and get things started.

To find more love matches, you need to know your Rising Sign, also known as the Ascendant.  Look across the chart wheel and find the sign on the cusp or beginning of the 7th house,  That is your partnership or marriage house and there is a strong attraction to others with that sun sign or Rising Sign.

For example:

If you are a Leo Rising, ruling your personal house, then you will be attracted to Aquarians, the sign across the zodiac for a potential partner.

If you have a Capricorn Rising sign, you will be very attracted to Cancerians, the sign across the zodiac wheel.

Look at the sign where your Venus is.  That symbol is the little circle with the cross under it. The sign listed with it is your love sign, so you can easily fall in love with someone having that Sun sign or Rising Sign.

For Example Venus in Virgo feels romance with the Virgo Sun Signs or Rising Signs.

You can get a chart wheel done for just $6.00 if you order the Astrology cards and want to add this love match game to all the other great games you can play with these unique cards.   I will need your date, time and city of birth and $20 + $6.00 payable through Paypal or money order.

For a full chart analysis, please check my pricing schedule from the menu bar above.

You can learn a lot about your good love match while you play a game.  Everyone counts up how many cards they laid down to see the winner of the game.  Play it again and again with all your friends!!   Love is always in the air!

Which Sign had a Chart done the Most?

This week I decided to do a bit of research and look through my records at the hundreds of birth charts I have done through the years.  I was wondering about the sun signs of the folks who came to me to have their chart done.  Which sun sign showed up the most? Which sun sign showed up the least?

All twelve signs were represented in good numbers but:

PISCES were highest

Followed very closely by LEOS

LIBRANS were third

Second to last were CAPRICORNS

and last were the TAURUS folks

Of course, this is just a small cross section of the population and my personal statistics only; yet it is most interesting to me.

Does this surprise you?

WHAT ARE THE REASONS ASTROLOGY WORKS?

Tremendous biological, chemical and physiological changes occur at the instant a new born baby draws in the first breath and consequently lets out his or her first cry.  In the Scriptures it is said, “I will breathe the breath of life into them”.   At this moment in time, more than 400 million electromagnetic cells in the brain become programmed, like a computer by the invisible, but powerful cosmic frequencies, or light waves, coming from our Sun, our Moon and the planets in our solar system.  This occurs in a pattern corresponding to their position in space and their mathematically and astronomically -measured aspects to one another in that magnetically-charged moment in time.  The baby  will feel a powerful electromagnetic tug and become “programmed” so to speak.

If this baby could see the heavens above at that moment, he or she would see their birth chart.  This tug actually can be accepted or rejected through the gift of free will, each time in the future when the Sun, Moon and planets conflict or harmonize with each other and the baby’s programmed natal chart.  However, after doing hundreds of birth charts, I have found that most people do live out their chart and experience recurring planetary transits in the working out of their lives.  Transits can trigger a psychological response or an actual life experience, depending on the angle each planet is making to each planet in the birth chart.  These are called conjunctions, oppositions, sextiles, trines or squares (as well as minor aspects not listed) and depending on the angle, these feelings or experiences will appear to be happy or helpful, perhaps challenging or irritating or frustrating.  But, all serve a purpose in our lives, to help us along or to teach us lessons that also ultimately help us along on our path to growth.good teaching wheel.

Even More Pennies From The Angels

I found a penny right by my feet three times this week!

I previously published two blog posts about the pennies and dimes that angels use to get your attention, along with finding feathers near you and butterflies flying right next to you.

It has been awhile, but within the last 8 days, 3 times, wow!!

I found the first penny last week the next morning after placing my first order for my Astrology game of cards, which was very exciting after 2 years of working on it.  I felt my angels were congratulating me.

I found another penny today after leaving the bank where I decided to open a checking account for doing card game business.  I felt they liked that and said money is coming your way.

Then I was given another penny today when I made a stop to pick up something and there it was at my foot as I stepped out of the car.  I think they were emphasizing the fact that they like what I am doing.

So was this all a coincidence or my imagination working overtime?  I don’t think so.  Read my other 2 stories on this topic and tell me what you think!!

The Astrology Game of Cards©Has Arrived

0-covercardLearn the basics of Astrology using my colorful Astrology Card Game, a new concept just created!  This is a fun way to play familiar card games while you automatically get familiar with Astrology.

Enclosed with each deck are suggested ways to play the first two of many possible games:  Zodiac Rummy and Zodiac Solitaire.

Full rules for Astro RummyGreat for 3 or 4 people.  Deal out 7 cards to each player.  Turn the remainder face down and turn up one card to start the discard pile.  Each player in turn draws a card. When a card is drawn, there must be a discard.  You may have the option of picking up the top card from the discard pile or even picking up the entire discard pack instead of drawing a card… But you must have two cards of that zodiac set in hand. In addition, if you take the entire discard pack,  because you now have more possibility of winning, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO LAY DOWN 3 SETS  RATHER THAN 2 SETS LIKE THE OTHER PLAYERS! Then discard 1 card as usual. When play ends, whoever wins gets 25 points.  If a card set of 4 has been already laid down by any player, it doesn’t count against them. When there is a winner, any cards remaining in the other players’ hands count 5 points for the winner.

Zodiac Solitaire is played like regular Solitaire except there are 12 instead of 13 cards and no suits. Great for playing and learning when you are alone! Lay out 7 rows of cards across, turning up the first card and turning down the other 6 cards.  Deal across the row again, turning up the second card and turning down the other 5 cards.  Again, turning up the 3rd card and turning down the other 4 cards, and so on until you have turned up the 7th card.  From the cards showing on the table, fill the rows down in order of the signs  from Pisces to Aries just like Kings down to Aces.  The 12th sign Pisces acts like a King and when there is an empty spot, it fills that spot.  With the remainder of the deck, by threes turn over cards and see if they can be used anywhere. Aries acts like an Ace and when you have gone as far as possible, you can turn over the cards by ones to see if any can fit in.  Begin laying off the Aries (Aces) up top followed by Taurus (like 2’s) and then Gemini (like 3’s) and so on, until you complete the 4 sets up top.  You will win most of the time with these cards and you will learn the order of the signs forward and backward each time you play.

Please use the Informational card included in your deck to learn the order of the signs to play Zodiac Solitaire.

MORE FUN GAMES TO PLAY:

Zodiac Element GameDeal 7 cards to 3 or 4 players.  Collect 2 sets of 4 cards containing an Element such as Air, Fire, Earth or Water to win this game.  No discard is needed to go out.

Air signs include Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.

Fire signs include Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.

Earth signs include Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.

Water signs include Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.

Note:  There is a card showing these Elements included in each card deck.

Zodiac Birth Sign Game –  Before play begins declare your Sun Sign.  If a second player has the same birth sign, he or she must choose the sign of a family member instead and declare it.  Deal out 7 cards to 3 or 4 players.  Collect one set of 4 cards from your birth sign and one set of any other sign in order to win the hand.  Winner gets 25 points and play ends.  No discard is needed to go out.

Zodiac Human Symbol GameThere are just 4 zodiac symbols depicting humans. They are the Gemini Twins, the Virgo Virgin, the Sagittarius Archer and the Aquarius Water Bearer.  Note that Aquarius is not a water sign despite being shown pouring water.  This sign is part of the Air group of Elements and has been known to be pouring out ideas.  The other 8 symbols are animals or objects.    Deal out 7 cards to 3 or 4 people.  Only 1 set of a sign with people  is needed to go out and win and when this happens, the game ends immediately and winner gets 25 points.  Note:  To vary this game, you could collect one of each of the human zodiac signs rather than 4 of the same sign.

Zodiac Numbers GameGreat for kids!  Deal 7 cards to 3 or 4 players. Collect any 4 consecutive numbers of the zodiac number cards only.  Collect just one set of four to win, picking up a card and discarding a card.

Check the enclosed informational Symbols card to see the consecutive order of the signs from #1 Aries to #12 Pisces

Zodiac Fishing Gamesimilar to the Go Fish Game – another great game that kids and also adults can enjoy with these cards.  WHEN YOU ASK OTHER PLAYERS FOR A PARTICULAR SIGN, THEY MUST HAND OVER ALL THAT THEY HAVE OF THAT SIGN.  The winner is the first one to collect 2 zodiac sets and win 25 points.

Rob The Deck   Deal 8 cards to each player.  Lay out 6 cards right side up on the table to work from.  If you hold a card in the same zodiac sign as one on the table, pick that card  up and along with the card in your hand, begin to accumulate your pile, facing up.  Keep going until you have no match. If you can’t play, lay a card down in the center from your hand.  Each player builds their pile.  If any player has a card in the same zodiac sign as the top card in your pile, they get to rob the deck and move your pile to theirs and the same for you.  Deal out 8 more cards when the hands are all gone and continue playing.  When there are no more cards to deal  the largest pile wins!
