Walter Russell is the man who tapped the secrets of the Universe. I will say more about who he was toward the end. I want to share some of his secrets with you first. The reason this information resonates with me is because when I received the concept for creating a deck of Astrology cards several years ago, I believe this is the way it happened and can happen for anyone who truly wants to create a product to fit a purpose. Yet, it can also happen to you even if you are not necessarily seeking to create a product at all, but you are in the right frame of mind to receive.
Walter Russell taught that any thought that flows through you is itself never created; that thought belongs to the universe; it is only the form of the thought that is created. No one can make a sale, write a book, or invent anything without first having a deep reverence that makes him know and feel that he or she is merely an interpreter of the thought-world, creating a product of some kind to fit a purpose. Look reverently inward and you will be amazed at what you will find. Be alone long enough with yourself and listen for whisperings from the source of universal consciousness, which will inspire you. These are actual messages, or revelations telling you, guiding you, showing you the way to the Source of the thought-world and with great reverence you step out through the thought world into the world of creation. There, you can produce through your interpretations of the images crowding your mind which you do not see. You will soon find yourself using the cosmic forces, which you also cannot see, instead of working by yourself blindly in the dark.
It takes great reverence to understand that you become co-creator with the Universal Thinker of all things and many people call this God. When the feeling of inspiration comes, know you can produce it and nobody under heaven can tell you you cannot. Flashes of inspiration come only to those who plug into the universe and become harmonious with its rhythms by communion with it. Inspiration and intuition are the language of light through which humans and God communicate. The universe gives to those who ask, without favor.
Walter Russell said he can only point the way as it worked for him, but each must find it for themself. Be alone with your thoughts long enough to give the inner voice within you a chance to cry out in distinguishable language to you, “Here I am within you”. This is the silent voice which speaks to everyone who will listen. Plug into it because you will suddenly know things which you never knew before. All knowledge exists in the God-Mind and is extended into this electrical universe of creative expression through desire or being open to it.
Walter Russell was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1871. He became a musician and went to art school. He was self-supporting and self-educated after the age of 13, when he was taken out of school and put to work. He used his inquiring mind to find out the secret mysteries of his inner self and the relation of his real self to the selective universe of which he believed himself to be a vital part. He did many remarkable things in his life due to his absolute faith that anything can come to one who trusts in the unlimited help of the Universal Intelligence that is within, as long as we work within the law, always give more to others than they expect; and do it cheerfully and courteously.
Walter Russell is the most interesting man! He has accomplished amazing things in his life. I had never heard about him until my dear friend Fran gave me a little book called “The Man who Tapped the Secrets of the Universe” by Glenn Clark. He has written several books himself, most notably “The Secret of Light”. Walter passed on his 92nd birthday in 1963.
One last interesting fact about Walter is that he believed in versatility in all creative work, and that although we can work many hours at a time physically, he believes that in mental, creative work, we can do our best in only working two hours at a time on any one project. But we can work another two hours on another project with equal freshness and that all work should be done with love. He credits this for his perfect health and great physical strength his entire life. He has made his living creditably in all five of the fine arts; music, literature, architecture, painting and sculpture and greatly in two of them. He also made great discoveries in science, was a reputable philosopher and lecturer on ethical human relations. He also won three first prizes in figure skating against competitors all under age thirty, and he was then sixty-nine years of age.
Walter Russell was a great teacher and more people need to know about him!
